Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, is seeking an experienced CNC Saw Operator/CNC Machinist to join a leading stone fabrication company. You will program, set up and operate CNC bridgesaws and machining centres to produce high-quality stone products for residential and commercial projects.

Ideal candidates have minimum 5 years of CNC machining or stone fabrication experience, read technical drawings, and stay safety-conscious.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining or stone fabrication experience.
• Experience operating CNC bridgesaws or similar CNC stone processing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC bridgesaws and CNC machining centres.
• Interpret CAD/CAM files and technical drawings.
• Setup machines and prepare stone slabs for processing.
• Monitor cutting and machining operations to ensure accuracy.
• Produce finished products to precise measurements and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and blade replacement.
• Identify and resolve basic machine operating issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Handle natural stone, engineered stone, marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain materials.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines.
