Job summary

Pacific Stone Ltd, based in Tauranga, seeks an experienced CNC Stone Saw Operator to program and operate bridge saws and CNC machines to cut granite, quartz and other stone surfaces. You will load slabs, interpret CAD/CAM designs, and monitor sawing accuracy while ensuring Safety and quality controls.

Candidate should have experience with CNC stone equipment or related machinery, and be capable of maintaining high tolerances. On-site role with potential for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC stone machinery preferred.
• Able to read CAD/CAM design files.
• Willingness to work on site in Tauranga and reliability in fast-paced environment.
• Attention to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup / Operation
• Loading stone slabs onto the CNC machine
• Programming and Design Interpretation - loading CAD/CAM design files to direct the machine's movements
• Fabrication Control - monitoring the sawing and cutting process for quality
• Quality and Safety Control - inspecting finished pieces and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
• Maintenance and troubleshooting machines such as replacing worn blades or cleaning components
