Job summary

Chateau on the Park Christchurch - a DoubleTree by Hilton is actively seeking a Sales Executive to identify and pursue new business, deliver compelling pitches, and close deals that maximize revenue for the hotel.

The successful candidate will be CRM proficient, highly organized, able to work under pressure, and capable of hosting clients as needed. This role supports the Commercial team and aligns with Hilton's values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and Now.

Qualifications

  • Two years in a similar role, preferably within a hotel chain environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and revenue generation.
  • Proficient in hotel systems (Delphi, Salesforce, OnQ/PEP, Market Planner Survey).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • New account acquisition.
  • Complete RFPs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and develop understanding of their needs to convert business.
  • Assist the wider Commercial team entertain clients and agents as necessary.
  • Conduct tours of inspections of the hotel with potential clients.
  • Assist with Sales updates to clients.
  • Ensure all reports are produced as requested by Management.
  • Collate market intelligence on trends and competitors.
  • Research potential opportunities and understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge about the Hotel.
  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems (e.g. Delphi).
  • Actively contribute to maximising revenue and generating business.

Job description

The iconic Chateau on the Park Christchurch - a DoubleTree by Hilton is looking for a Sales Executive who appreciates the impact of both local and global travel and understands the reason we are here, to delight our guests and clients.

Ideally the candidate will work well under pressure, have strong organization skills and be proficient in using a CRM.

This role involves identifying and prospecting potential clients, making sales pitches, and closing deals to maximize revenue. As a Sales Executive, you're not just supporting sales operations and lead generation to help drive new business - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

We are looking for a team member who is keen to continue growing their career and aligns themselves with our Hilton values - Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership and Now and who demonstrates the following behaviours:

  • Full New Zealand Driver's License

What will I be doing:

  • New account acquisition

  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems e.g. Delphi
  • Actively work as a member of the team, contributing to maximising revenue and generate business
