Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is seeking an Executive Housekeeper for the Bay of Islands region. You will lead the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding room standards, drive operational efficiency, and uphold brand quality and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring previous housekeeping leadership experience, a sharp eye for detail, and strong rostering, stock, and safety practices. This full-time role offers growth across NZ with staff meals, stay discounts, and uniform provision.

• Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional room standards.
• Oversee daily operations, including room allocations and productivity.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and presentation across all areas.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to support performance and growth.
• Manage stock control and monthly stock takes.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare and manage rosters to meet operational and budget needs.
• Support payroll processes and departmental administration.
• Conduct quality checks and performance reviews.

The Role

We are looking for an Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure every room reflects our commitment to quality, comfort, and guest satisfaction. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing your team, and ensuring the department runs efficiently, safely, and to brand standards.
