Job summary

Pacific Coast Village is seeking a passionate Housekeeper to join our team at Mount Maunganui. The role is casual, covering weekdays and weekends, and focuses on maintaining clean, welcoming communal spaces and care suites for our elderly residents.

Ideal candidates will have prior housekeeping experience, good time management, and the ability to lift medium-to-heavy objects while using a backpack vacuum. This is a hands-on, independent role in a retirement village setting.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience as a housekeeper or similar cleaning role.
• Have good time management skills.
• Be able to lift/carry medium to heavy objects and can comfortably wear a commercial backpack vacuum.
• Be confident working on their own.
• Caring and compassionate.
• Enjoy being with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the communal buildings, villas, and care suites clean and tidy, and always well presented.
• Following a daily schedule in a timely manner.
• Ensure cleaning product stock is up to date.

The nature of the industry requires a high level of customer engagement and personal approach to build relationships. Being physically fit is a must, as you will be on your feet for the day. The successful candidate will be warm, friendly, and pleasant with our elderly residents - and have an eye for detail!

There is a casual role, covering across weekdays and weekends.

Key responsibilities:

• Keeping the communal buildings, villas, and care suites clean and tidy, and always well presented
• Following a daily schedule in a timely manner.
• Ensure cleaning product stock is up to date

A successful candidate will ideally:
