Job summary

Novotel Auckland Airport is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and inspire our team, ensuring rooms and public areas meet brand standards and guest expectations.

You will coordinate daily briefings, allocate tasks, coach colleagues, and respond to guest requests while maintaining safety and operational excellence across the hotel. Legally entitled to work in New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• You will be experienced in leading and developing high performing teams.
• You should know housekeeping standards, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Be highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Proficient in inventory control, record keeping, and administrative tasks. Customer-focused with a commitment to exceptional guest satisfaction.
• You are a confident communicator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular room and public area inspections to ensure compliance with brand standards and procedures.
• Coordinate daily team briefings, allocate tasks, and support colleague development through coaching and performance feedback.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, special requirements, and housekeeping concerns to create memorable guest experiences.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, equipment, and room status reports to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promote a safe and collaborative working environment by upholding hotel safety standards and partnering effectively with other departments.
