Job summary

Ministry of Health Wellington seeks an Executive Assistant to support three senior leaders within the Performance & Governance group. You will manage diaries, communications, and day-to-day coordination to keep leaders focused on improving health outcomes for New Zealanders.

As a trusted partner, you will coordinate meetings, travel, and deliverables, prepare briefing materials, and build strong relationships across the Ministry and health sector while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or in a similar support role, ideally with an understanding of the machinery of government and public sector environments.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, think ahead, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships and work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, using initiative, sound judgement, and advanced Microsoft Office skills to support senior leaders while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
