Job summary

The Plant People in Auckland is seeking an experienced Operator to join our Construction & Group Housing team. You will operate excavators and earthmoving equipment across a range of landscape projects, performing excavation, grading, earthworks and precise finishing to meet high standards.

You should be able to work independently, read plans accurately, and prioritize safety, quality, and productivity on site. Full NZ Driver Licence is required, Class 2 licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators and earthmoving equipment.
• Experience in landscape construction, civil works, or similar industries.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Strong understanding of safe machinery operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other machinery across landscape projects.
• Engage in excavation, grading, earthworks, site prep and finishing work.
• Read plans accurately and work independently with on-site decision making.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity on site.
