Job summary

Hauraki Civil Limited in Auckland and Otago is looking for two experienced digger operators to join our civil excavation team. You will operate excavation and earthmoving machines to dig, break, move, and load earth, rock, and debris, following detailed plans and safety procedures.

The role offers a field and workshop environment with overtime opportunities and career development. A minimum of three years’ experience is required; weekend availability is a must.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time relevant trackable work experience.
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Weekend availability if required.
• No criminal convictions; hardworking and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavation and other earthmoving machines to dig, break, move, and load earth, rock and debris.
• Complete foundation excavations for construction projects and civil excavation for civil projects.
• Prepare machines by selecting, fitting, and installing attachments.
• Read detailed construction plans and position machines for operation.
• Operate and control machines to cut, excavate, break, drill, level and compact the ground.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure alignment with project plans.
