Job summary

Wise Group, via Real youth respite service in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, is seeking a savvy youth worker to join our expanding service. Based in Hillpark, this full-time role supports taiohi to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing, working with a great team in a youth-focused environment.

The role is 3pm–11:30pm, Tuesday–Saturday, with a National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work or Youth Work preferred, trauma-informed approach, IT proficiency, current first aid, and

Qualifications

• National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or National Certificate in Youth Work.
• Trauma-informed care understanding and experience working with young people.
• IT skills including Microsoft Office are preferred.
• Current New Zealand first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in youth work, social work, mental health and addictions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support taiohi to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing.
• Work with a team of youth workers to provide day support and overnight stays.
• Help taiohi develop problem-solving and life skills during stays.
