Real seeks a motivated youth worker to join our Pathways service in New Plymouth. You will work under the Team Coach, supporting young people in a home-like retreat, providing mentoring, supervision, and care during extended stays.
Ideal candidates hold the Level 4 Mental Health & Addiction or Youth Work certificates, with trauma-informed knowledge and a current NZ driver’s licence. This is a fixed-term, full-time position ending January 2027, with weekday hours 3pm–11:30pm.
At Real, we want to play a part in supporting all young New Zealanders to feel great about their futures. We provide health and well-being services in the community to people aged between 12 and 24. We believe in the importance of community, connection, and relationships - and in the ability of young people to shape their own futures.
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and working in a team of Youth Workers. Young people will stay in our home-like retreat for short periods while they are supported by trained youth mental health and addiction workers.
We’re looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service.
Māori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role. We also encourage people with lived experience to apply.
