Job summary

NZ Recruit in Rolleston is seeking an experienced sheet metal operator for a busy Press Shop. You will set up and operate Press Brake and Turret Punch or CNC machinery, forming, bending and finishing sheet metal to exact specs.

Reading work orders, ensuring quality and meeting production targets, and working with modern CNC technology are key. Monday to Friday, 5:15pm–1:15am, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous Press Brake and/or Turret Punch experience.
• Sheet metal machinery experience.
• CNC experience.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety.
• Willingness to work evening/night shift.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating Press Brake and/or Turret machinery.
• Forming, bending and straightening sheet metal to specifications.
• Reading work orders and production requirements.
• Working with modern CNC machinery and technology.
• Ensuring quality and production targets are met.
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a busy team.
