Job summary

Tradestaff in Cambridge, Waikato, is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a skilled team. If you have New Zealand press brake experience, can confidently read technical drawings, and are proficient with CNC machinery, we want to hear from you.

Location: Cambridge, Waikato. Start date: Immediately. Pay rate: $27–$29 per hour with weekly pay. This is ongoing work with a supportive team environment focused on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• NZ press brake operating experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• CNC operating and programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up press brake machinery with correct dies, punches, and tooling.
• Adjust machine settings including pressure and back-gauge positioning.
• Read technical drawings to determine dimensions, angles and bending sequences.
• Operate and program CNC systems to produce accurate bends.
• Measure finished components to ensure specifications.
• Carry out test runs and adjust as needed.
• Maintain tooling and equipment following safety procedures.

Job description

We’re looking for experienced Press Brake Operators to join a great company in Cambridge. If you have New Zealand press brake experience, can confidently read technical drawings, and know your way around CNC machinery, we want to hear from you.

Location: Cambridge, Waikato

Start date: Immediately

Pay rate: $27–$29 per hour + weekly pay

What you’ll be doing

• Set up press brake machinery, selecting and installing the correct dies, punches and tooling
• Adjust machine settings, including pressure and back-gauge positioning
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine dimensions, angles and bending sequences
• Operate and program CNC systems to achieve accurate bends
• Measure finished components using appropriate measuring equipment to ensure they meet specifications
• Carry out test runs and make adjustments where required
• Maintain tooling and equipment while following safe operating procedures

• Confidence setting up and operating press brake machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• CNC operating and programming experience
