Service Foods Ltd in Auckland's Fresh Produce division is seeking a Produce Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis. You will help pick, prepare and pack fresh vegetables and fruit according to customer orders.

In this role you will work with fresh produce, pulling, weighing, and packing supplies, as well as assist in stocking and other warehouse duties. The position requires reliability, a good work ethic and the ability to work the Sunday-Friday roster in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in fresh produce or warehousing/pick-pack roles.
• Experience in a chiller and/or depot environment.
• Reliable transport and flexibility with hours.
• Attention to detail and a flexible attitude.
• NZ work experience and basic food ingredient knowledge.
• Be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
• Intermediate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Forklift license is beneficial.
• Strong health and safety understanding.

Responsabilités

• Picking, weighing and packing orders.
• Cleaning, washing and processing fresh produce.
• Inspecting product quality before packaging.
• Operating machines to peel, core, slice and dice fruits and vegetables.
• Handling and restocking inventory.
• Receiving and storing products.
• Heavy lifting up to 20 kgs.
• Maintaining general housekeeping and food safety.
