Job summary

Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd in Auckland is seeking a practical Class 5 Driver / Logistics Co-ordinator for the PM shift (4:00 PM - ~12:30 AM). You will support loading, dispatch, and safety-focused warehouse operations, coordinating with the dispatch team to ensure timely departures.

The role requires a Full Class 5 licence with a clean driving record, forklift experience, and the ability to handle heavy equipment while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full Class 5 licence with clean driving history (essential).
• Endorsed counterbalance forklift licence (2.5T-5T) advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse, loading, or transport operations.
• Gantry crane or Hiab certification highly desirable.
• Physically fit with excellent safety awareness.
• Good communication skills and a positive, flexible team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with a forklift and overhead gantry crane in a busy afternoon warehouse.
• Move vehicles through loading bays and ensure loads are secure.
• Prepare trucks for next-day departures and coordinate with dispatch.
• Check loads and confirm IN FULL; follow daily run instructions.
• Perform vehicle inspections and support delivery operations.
• Complete administration, paperwork, checklists, and logbooks.
