Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a Professional Teaching Fellow to join the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. You will deliver environmental engineering teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contribute to curriculum development, and advance industry partnerships.

This permanent, full-time role offers a dynamic academic environment with opportunities for research supervision and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering and PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering (essential).
Proven excellence in teaching with leadership in the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in civil and environmental engineering.
Strong record of sub-doctoral research project supervision, at honours and masters level.
Track record of engagement with industry and a practical understanding of sector challenges nationally and/or internationally.

Responsibilities

Deliver research-informed, industry-relevant teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in civil and environmental engineering.
Design and enhance curricula to meet accreditation standards.
Incorporate emerging technologies and sustainable practices into teaching.
Engage with industry, government, and technical societies to ensure relevance of teaching.
Contribute to service roles within the Department, Faculty, and University.
