Job summary

The University of Auckland invites applications for a full-time biology teaching role within the Faculty of Science. The successful candidate will teach lectures, laboratories, field trips and tutorials across undergraduate programmes, contribute to curriculum development and resource design, and provide academic pastoral support.

We seek a postgraduate biologist with expertise in Ecology, Biodiversity, Evolution or Quantitative Biology, experience with diverse teaching modalities and learning

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in biology is required.
• Track record of developing innovative teaching methodologies and high-quality learning resources is preferred.
• Familiarity with different teaching modalities and learning management systems is desirable.
• Experience coordinating undergraduate courses is advantageous.
• Teaching qualification is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach lectures, laboratories, field trips and tutorials across undergraduate programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and resource design.
• Provide academic pastoral care to students with diverse learning needs.
• Engage in scholarship of teaching and learning and service activities.
