Job summary

Fonterra Stirling is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the site's environmental operations and compliance program. You will set strategic direction, oversee regulatory obligations including RMA and ISO standards, and drive sustainable performance across the site.

As part of the Site Leadership team, you will manage a team, engage with regulators and iwi, report on environmental metrics, and champion continuous improvement in wastewater and biomass processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an environmental team.
• Strong knowledge of RMA and ISO standards.
• Experience with wastewater treatment and biomass facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wastewater treatment, disposal, and biomass boiler operations; monitor performance and report to stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely compliance and progress reports to regulatory authorities, site management and other stakeholders.
• Support resource consent renewals and input to regional/district plans.
• Engage with Environmental Asset Management and Capital Projects teams to ensure compliance and best practice management.
• Provide thought leadership for environmental escalations and events.
• Develop people capability to deliver sustainable site KPIs.
