Job summary

New Era Technology NZ is looking for an on-site IT Helpdesk professional to join our Palmerston North client sites. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT issues, assist staff face-to-face, and manage the ticket board with a strong focus on customer service.

You will travel locally between sites; a company vehicle is provided for scheduled work. You’ll document issues, communicate clearly with non-technical users, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Must have NZ citizenship or permanent residence.
• Must hold NZ Driver's License (Full or Restricted).

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, chat and in-person.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues reported by clients.
• Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues and follow up until resolution.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends.
