Job summary

Amazon Web Services in New Zealand is seeking an Enterprise Account Technical Manager to act as a trusted technical advisor for strategic customers, guiding cloud adoption, architecture reviews, and operational excellence across AWS environments.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, drive customer success, and shape engagements from inception through execution, enabling transformation and value realization for diverse industries in the NZ market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting across compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
• Experience working with or evaluating AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions and provide technical guidance as a trusted advisor, ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
• Develop trusting relationships with customers at all levels, understanding their business needs and technical challenges to drive meaningful technology discussions about incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
• Consult with stakeholders from developers through to C-suite executives, crafting strategies that help customers achieve their business objectives through effective cloud adoption
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers to deliver comprehensive customer support
• Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS, including providing detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and pre-launch planning
