Job summary

Wintec’s Centre for Engineering invites an experienced Engineer to join us as Academic Staff Member. You’ll teach across our Level 6 NZ Diploma in Engineering and Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering Technology, bringing real-world industry knowledge into the classroom and helping shape the next generation of engineers.

Salary: $77,500 – $96,800, depending on skills and experience. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required; safety checks apply. Closing date: September 24.

Centre for Engineering Academic Staff Member
Bring your industry expertise into the classroom and help shape the next generation of Engineers.

Join Wintec’s Trades and Engineering team and use your practical Engineering experience to inspire and prepare students for successful careers. You’ll teach across our Level 6 New Zealand Diploma in Engineering and Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering Technology, bringing real-world knowledge and industry connections into the learning experience.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for an experienced Engineer with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Current industry experience and strong technical capability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for sharing your knowledge and supporting the next generation of engineers.

You don’t need to have teaching experience to be successful in this role. If you have strong industry knowledge, a passion for your profession and an interest in developing others, we’d love to hear from you.
