Job summary

Wintec’s Centre for Engineering invites an experienced Engineer to join us as Academic Staff Member. You’ll teach across our Level 6 NZ Diploma in Engineering and Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering Technology, bringing real-world industry knowledge into the classroom and helping shape the next generation of engineers.

Salary: $77,500 – $96,800, depending on skills and experience. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required; safety checks apply. Closing date: September 24.

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Current industry experience and strong technical capability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of Core Engineering courses.
• Develop engaging teaching resources and assessments.
• Support and assess students as they build their technical skills.
• Bring current industry practice and real-world experience into the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry to create innovative learning opportunities.
• Help shape the future of the Engineering profession in Aotearoa New Zealand.
