Wintec invites registered nurses to join our Te Kura o te Oranga team in Hamilton, Waikato. The role is part-time or full-time within our nursing education group, focusing on interactive learning and mentoring nursing students.

You will contribute to curriculum development, foster an inclusive learning environment, and stay current with industry trends. Applicants should have NZ practicing certificate, NZ residency, and at least five years of nursing experience in NZ.

Job description

Wintec invites dynamic and experienced registered nurses (RN) to join our Te Kura o te Oranga (Centre for Health & Social Practice) team in the heart of Waikato. As a leading institution committed to delivering quality education, we are excited to be able to offer a part- time or full-time position within our nursing education team. The position is suitable for a RN that has experience in the nursing education sector. In your role, you will:

  • facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences for nursing students.
  • instruct and mentor students in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.
  • foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • stay current with industry trends and best practices.

The appointing salary will be between $ 90,800 and $ 113,500 (pro rata) dependent on skills and experience.

We are looking for people that:

  • have experience in nursing education in the tertiary sector.
  • have an understanding of Te Ao Māori.
  • have a current annual practicing certificate.
  • belong to a relevant professional body.
  • have five or more years of experience in the nursing profession in New Zealand.
  • possess a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand.

We are looking for someone with broad understanding of nursing in a variety of settings. Experience in nursing in the tertiary sector is important. Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies is a plus.For more information, please view the Position Description below.
