This is a pivotal role responsible for optimising plant operations and overseeing maintenance activities across multiple shifts, including accountability for the overall operation of the maintenance of the department, and managing external service providers. The position leads the implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan, responds to mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment breakdowns (including software programming), and works closely with global suppliers to ensure the plant operates at peak efficiency.

What you’ll do:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, policies, and processes that drive and enhance operational performance
  • Lead prompt and safe responses to equipment service needs or breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining clear communication with Operations
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate external contractors for all approved site maintenance
  • Ensure adequate levels of spare parts inventory and maintain high levels of standards and accuracy in stocktake activities, ensuring compliance with site requirements and standards
What you’ll bring:
  • Extensive experience within a food manufacturing environment, ideally within automated packing operations, with a solid understanding of maintenance, reliability and plant performance
  • Strong communicationskills with highattention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability in creating structure and driving continuous improvement
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some shift work.

This is a full-time role basedat ourRoastery – The Roastery at Twenty Three, Allens Road, East Tamaki,working 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday), with weekend work required at times.
