Job summary

Bupa Group is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team at Bupa Foxbridge Care Home in Hamilton. You will participate in and lead individual and group activities, supporting residents to live with dignity and purpose.

This casual role involves promoting a homely, stimulating environment, coordinating with families, and assisting with activity planning. NZ-based work entitlement and a valid driver’s licence enhance your application.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level preferred.
• Previous experience in aged care desirable.
• Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
• A fun personality with a creative flair.
• A clean, full driver’s licence is preferable, as you may drive the van for resident outings.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities.
• Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme.
• Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families.
• Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme.
