Zusammenfassung

The University of Auckland is seeking a Te Terenga | Schools and Community Engagement Adviser to build meaningful, mana-enhancing relationships with secondary schools, students and whānau. You will guide school leavers through study pathways and university transition with strategic outreach and tailored plans.

You will deliver engaging presentations and workshops across schools and community groups, using digital tools to extend reach and enhance engagement.

Qualifikationen

• Strong understanding of the New Zealand secondary school environment.
• Demonstrated competence and confidence in te ao Māori.
• Proven experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience using digital engagement tools and delivering online outreach.
• Ability to obtain and maintain full Police Vetting clearance.

Aufgaben

• Combine strategy, relationship‑building, and digital engagement to grow school and community engagement.
• Develop partnerships with schools, careers advisers, teachers, community groups, whānau and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver presentations, workshops, and outreach activities to inform and engage students and whānau.
• Create tailored engagement plans across assigned school and community portfolio.
• Provide accurate guidance to prospective students and support them through the school‑leaver journey.
• Promote digital engagement tools and innovative outreach to extend reach.
