Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking Te Ūnga Kairuruku, Schools and Community Recruitment Adviser to lead recruitment initiatives for Year 13 students and build a strong pipeline of prospective applicants. You will collaborate with Faculties, manage key stakeholder relationships, and deliver engaging activities that reflect manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.

Qualifications

• A tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Experience working with diverse clients and communities.
• Highly skilled communicator and presenter.
• Proficient computer literacy and ability to deliver digital tools.
• Understanding of the NZ secondary school system.
• Experience in the tertiary environment and student experience.
• Demonstrable understanding, competence and respect for te ao Māori.
• Kia Whakamana i te Tangata—mana and tapu of individuals, whānau and communities.
• Agile experience or cross-functional team ways of working.
• Ability to work with complex data and travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Implement recruitment initiatives for the school leaver market.
• Deliver mana-enhancing and inspiring activities for Years 13 students.
• Recruit new students into the university through targeted events.
• Maintain relationships with faculties as a portfolio programme liaison.
• Support after-hours events and travel as needed.
