Job summary

Transpower New Zealand Limited is seeking a skilled analyst to join our Wellington team. You will contribute to modelling and analysis of the electricity market to inform policy and forecast electricity supply, enabling system changes for new technology deployment across the power system.

You will work with a small, expert team in a stimulating environment, delivering insights to stakeholders and prioritising projects with agility and resilience in changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, economics or related field required.
• Proficiency in Python and Power BI.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and solve problems with missing information.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and documentation ability.
• Results-oriented with proactive drive for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to modelling and analysis of the electricity market today and in the future.
• Inform policy, forecast electricity supply, and investigate system changes enabling new technology.
