Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital seeks an Associate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM) for Endoscopy to provide clinical and operational leadership within a busy service. You will work with the Charge Nurse Manager to coordinate daily operations and drive workforce development, quality improvement, and safe patient care.

The role focuses on supporting staff, rostering, resource management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while upholding high standards of patient safety and care

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' recent acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to coach and develop staff.
• Experience in change management, quality improvement, audits and service development.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving outcomes for Māori.
• Postgraduate certificate required; ideally pursuing a relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Focus on quality improvement, patient safety and equitable health outcomes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centred care.
