Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Hamilton is seeking an Associate Charge Nurse Manager for our Emergency Department. This permanent part-time role offers leadership across a busy ED with a focus on safe patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires significant emergency nursing experience, current NZ Annual Practising Certificate, and active involvement with PDRP or progression toward Expert level, along with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in emergency nursing.
• Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate.
• Expert level on the PDRP or actively working towards it.
• Experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and operational oversight in a busy ED.
• Coordinate patient care delivery and staff development.
• Promote clinical excellence and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support day-to-day departmental operations in a fast-paced environment.
