Selwyn District Council in Rolleston, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to deliver end-to-end payroll for 650+ staff on fortnightly and monthly cycles. You will ensure accurate processing, compliance with tax and Holidays Act regulations, and maintain employee records with a focus on data integrity.

Formación

• 3–5+ years payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and legislation including Income Tax and Holidays Act
• Proficient with payroll systems and integrated time and attendance systems
• Experience with Datapay and Biotime or similar systems
• Ability to review and improve payroll processes
• Attention to confidentiality and data integrity

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll across fortnightly and monthly pay runs
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations (Income Tax, Holidays Act)
• Maintain employee records and respond to payroll enquiries
• Maintain payroll process documentation and SOPs; identify process improvement opportunities
• Assist People Team with monthly and ad hoc reporting (LGOMIA, OIA requests)
• Generate accurate payroll data and reporting and assist with audits
