Job summary

Te Roopu Taurima, New Zealand's largest kaupapa Māori disability support provider, is seeking experienced Lifestyle Coaches to join our South Auckland team. You will work alongside the people we support, helping them build confidence, life skills and independence to live the life they choose.

We offer permanent roles with 30 or 38 hours per week, with shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' NZ experience supporting people with disabilities or in a related community-based support role.
• Experience working independently and supporting people with complex needs.
• Experience in areas such as behaviour support, mental health, youth work, social services, or trauma-informed care.
• NZQA Level 3 Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent qualification or experience).
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
• Availability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and household tasks.
• Assist with cooking, shopping and budgeting.
• Encourage community participation and social connections.
• Support appointments and activities.
• Help people develop skills and achieve personal goals.
• Promote wellbeing, choice and independence.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with the wider team.
