Job summary

Te Roopu Taurima, New Zealand's largest kaupapa Māori disability support provider, is seeking experienced Lifestyle Coaches to join our South Auckland team. You will work alongside the people we support, helping them build confidence, life skills and independence to live the life they choose.

We offer permanent roles with 30 or 38 hours per week, with shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' NZ experience supporting people with disabilities or in a related community-based support role.
  • Experience working independently and supporting people with complex needs.
  • Experience in areas such as behaviour support, mental health, youth work, social services, or trauma-informed care.
  • NZQA Level 3 Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent qualification or experience).
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
  • Availability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

We're looking for experienced Lifestyle Coaches to join our South Auckland team. In this role, you'll work alongside the people we support, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and live the life they choose.

About the role

As a Lifestyle Coach, you'll provide practical support, encouragement and guidance in everyday life. No two days are the same.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting daily routines and household tasks
  • Assisting with cooking, shopping and budgeting

  • Supporting appointments and activities
  • Helping people develop skills and achieve personal goals
  • Promoting wellbeing, choice and independence

What we're looking for

Hours and availability

We have two permanent opportunities available, with guaranteed hours of either 30 or 38 hours per week.

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rostered shifts may change based on operational requirements and the needs of the people we support. Applicants must be available to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
