Job summary

Spectrum Care in Auckland is seeking a Part-time Community Support Worker to help adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities live great lives. The role involves assisting with personal activities, community participation, socialising, work or education, and daily living tasks in a South Auckland setting.

The ideal candidate will show empathy, energy, resilience and excellent English, hold a NZ driver’s license, and be able to pass a NZ police check.

Qualifications

• Empathy for the challenges of trying to build an ordinary life while living with a disability.
• Energy to keep up with someone who likes to be on the go a lot.
• Excellent, clear, understandable verbal and written English is a pre-requisite to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with personal activities such as community participation, socialising, work or education and daily living tasks.
• Support adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities to live great lives.
