Job summary

Spectrum Care in South Auckland is seeking a Community Support Worker for residential support to help adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities live fulfilling lives. The role focuses on personal activities, community participation, socialising, work or education, and daily living tasks, in a dynamic, person-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Empathy for the challenges of disability
• Ability to communicate effectively with family and colleagues
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Able to pass NZ police check
• Excellent written and spoken English required

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal activities and daily living tasks
• Support community participation, socialising, work or education
• Provide motivation and encouragement to the person you support
• Use computer tools for communication and documentation
