Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join its HR team in Queenstown. You will address employee concerns, manage grievances, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, acting as the primary contact for staff and management.

This on-site role focuses on fair investigations, advising on discipline, delivering ER training, maintaining records, and fostering a positive employee relations climate across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in Employee Relations or HR investigations.
• Knowledge of labor laws BCEA, LRA, and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and workplace conflicts impartially and efficiently.
• Advise management on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, and harassment prevention.
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations related to employment practices.
• Maintain accurate records of employee relations activities and outcomes.
• Promote a positive employee relations climate through proactive engagement and communication.
