Job summary

FIRST Security is seeking a Field Service Officer in Nelson to install and maintain electronic monitoring equipment for individuals under community-based sentences, including courts, prisons, and homes. You will respond to faults, attend callouts, and work with field support teams to resolve issues while ensuring professionalism with clients and stakeholders.

The role requires a proactive, calm, and physically fit individual holding a NZ Driver’s Licence, MOJ check clearance, COA eligibility,

Qualifications

• A ‘can do' attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Full NZ Driver's Licence.
• Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check.
• A current COA or the ability to obtain one.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment.
• Responding to equipment faults and alert activations.
• Attending callouts across courts, prisons, and residential locations.
• Liaising with field support teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Providing professional, respectful interactions with clients and stakeholders.
• Assisting in other areas of the business when required.
