Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Electrician with current registration to join a stable electrical team across commercial projects, infrastructure developments and street lighting. The role suits someone confident working independently while upholding safety and professional standards.

You will transfer your trade experience into a professional NZ environment, with qualifications and work history forming part of the assessment process.

Qualifications

Must hold current EWRB Electrical Registration.
NZ practising licence or ability to obtain one is required.
3–5+ years of relevant commercial electrical experience.
Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance.
Demonstrated electrical employment experience.
Ability to manage tasks with limited supervision.
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair electrical systems across commercial projects.
Undertake electrical work within infrastructure developments.
Complete street lighting installation, maintenance and servicing.
Read and work from electrical drawings, plans and specifications.
Inspect electrical systems and identify faults or technical issues.
Complete troubleshooting and corrective electrical work.
Work independently while maintaining project standards.
Ensure electrical work is completed safely and in accordance with regulations.
Maintain accurate and professional workmanship across assignments.
Coordinate effectively with team members and other project personnel.
Use electrical tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Support the delivery of multiple projects across different work environments.
