Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Systems Maintenance Technician for an on-site role at a Queenstown industrial facility. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical systems to ensure safe operation of power distribution, control systems, lighting and machinery.

The ideal candidate has proven industrial experience, strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Systems Maintenance Technician or Electrician in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, and power distribution.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of relevant electrical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and lighting.
• Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and equipment.
• Install new electrical systems and equipment according to schematics and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Assist with the commissioning of new electrical installations and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and inventory of electrical supplies.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established industrial facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape , is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Systems Maintenance Technician . This critical role involves the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of power distribution, control systems, lighting, and machinery. This is a hands-on, on-site position requiring a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety procedures, and maintenance practices. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of electrical safety and system reliability. You will play a key role in preventing downtime and ensuring the smooth operation of our client's industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities
