Job summary

Aquaheat Facility Services Ltd in Invercargill seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical maintenance and project work on client facilities. You will review work orders, allocate resources, monitor progress, and perform quality checks.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Experience in supervising teams, coordinating workloads and mentoring staff.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations, health and safety practices, and risk management.
• Excellent reporting, client communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Current electrical registration and practicing license; experience in facilities/building services is beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site across multiple client locations.

Role Description

The Electrical Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Invercargill, responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance and project activities across client facilities. This role includes supervising electricians and contractors, coordinating daily work schedules, and ensuring that all electrical installations, repairs, and inspections comply with relevant standards and safety regulations. The Electrical Supervisor will review work orders, allocate resources, monitor job progress, and perform quality checks on completed tasks. The position involves liaising with clients and internal stakeholders, preparing basic reports on performance and issues, and supporting continuous improvement of service delivery and operational efficiency. The Electrical Supervisor also promotes safe work practices, supports training of team members, and contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical electrical skills, including experience with installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Candidates should possess supervisory and leadership capabilities, such as team coordination, workload planning, mentoring, and performance oversight.
• Candidates should possess skills in safety and compliance, including working knowledge of electrical regulations, health and safety practices, and risk management procedures.
• Candidates should possess organizational and communication skills, including clear reporting, client communication, documentation, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant electrical trade qualification, current electrical registration and practicing license, and experience in facilities or building services are highly beneficial.
• Experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on-site across multiple client locations are advantageous.
