Job summary

Actemium New Zealand is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical site teams on industrial and infrastructure projects in New Zealand’s water sector. You will ensure safe, efficient project delivery, manage resources, and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• NZ Electrical Registration with Supervision Endorsement is essential.
• Experience supervising electrical teams in industrial and process plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of switchboards, MCCs, motors, VSDs, instrumentation and control systems.
• Commitment to health and safety and leading safe work practices on site.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with customers, subcontractors and colleagues.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor with strong industrial electrical and process plant experience to join our growing team. Reporting into the project leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of electrical site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in leading field personnel, managing resources, and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

• Integrate seamlessly into our team culture and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
• Develop a strong understanding of our customers' project delivery requirements and execution methodologies.
• Demonstrate effective people leadership and site-level management to drive project performance and team engagement.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Electrical Registration with Supervision Endorsement (essential).
• Proven experience supervising electrical teams within industrial and process plant environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems and installations, including switchboards, motor control centres, motors, variable speed drives, instrumentation and control systems.
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety, with the ability to lead safe work practices on site.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and colleagues.
