Job summary

Aotea Electric Invercargill is seeking a Service Supervisor to lead our electrical servicing team. You’ll guide electricians and apprentices, provide technical support, and ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll prepare quotations, monitor progress and profitability, conduct site visits, and work closely with the Service Coordinator to keep workloads balanced.

Qualifications

• Licensed NZ electrician with current practising licence.
• Extensive experience in electrical servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
• Able to make technical decisions and troubleshoot problems.
• Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Strong people skills and ability to develop others.
• NZ driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of electricians and apprentices.
• Provide technical advice, mentoring and training to develop capabilities.
• Prepare quotations for electrical servicing and maintenance work.
• Monitor jobs, labour efficiency and progress to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with the Service Coordinator on workloads and resources.
• Conduct site visits to check workmanship, health and safety compliance.
• Assist with complex fault finding and urgent breakdowns when needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations.
