Job summary

Aotea Electric Auckland Ltd is seeking an experienced electrician to join our Service team in Auckland. You will deliver high-quality commercial and light industrial service, fault finding, maintenance, and small improvements with autonomy and accountability.

We value reliability, client relationships, and a proactive approach. NZ Electrical Registration and a current practising licence are required, with the ability to work across a growing base of established commercial clients.

Qualifications

• NZ Electrical Registration and Practising Licence required.
• Experience in commercial service, maintenance, and fault finding.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Proactive approach and attention to detail.
• Right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Work across commercial and light industrial sites delivering consistent, high-quality service.
• Fault finding and diagnostics across a range of systems.
• Planned maintenance and reactive service work.
• Identify issues and recommend practical solutions to clients.
• Manage your own jobs and daily workflow.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working across a portfolio of commercial and light industrial sites around Auckland, delivering consistent, high-quality service.

Key parts of the role include:

• Fault finding and diagnostics across a range of systems
• Planned maintenance and reactive service work
• Identifying issues and recommending practical solutions to clients
• Small upgrades and improvement work
• Managing your own jobs and daily workflow
• Building strong, ongoing relationships with clients and site contacts
• Completing testing, commissioning, and job documentation
• Maintaining strong Health & Safety standards across all works
