Hilton in New Zealand is seeking a Groups, Meetings & Events Coordinator to support the Sales & Marketing team in developing future and repeat business. This role focuses on communications with clients and vendors, guest service, and coordinating conferences, weddings, and other events.

You will drive market insights, assist with proposals and negotiations, and maintain strong partner relationships to ensure high-quality experiences for guests. Flexible hours may be available as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hotel sales admin/coordinator role preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience with hotel reservation systems preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service, event coordination, or marketing preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in hotel/event management software preferred.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Address issues promptly during planning and execution phases.
  • Evaluate the success of campaigns and events.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments to align efforts and achieve goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends and apply innovative approaches.
  • Use hotel systems such as Delphi, Salesforce, PEP, and Market Planner Survey tools effectively.
  • Managing group and individual reservations, ensuring a smooth and personalized booking experience for every guest.
