Job summary

Clear Realm Creation Limited, a Dunedin-based renovation and property services company, has a full-time permanent vacancy for an experienced wall and floor tiler. The role offers guaranteed hours of 30 per week and may require weekend work.

The successful candidate will prepare surfaces, tile with accuracy, apply adhesives and waterproofing, and assist with broader renovation tasks on residential or commercial sites. A driver’s license and clean police/medical certs are beneficial.

Qualifications

• At least one year of proven work experience as a wall and floor tiler.
• Knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, grouts and tools.
• Experience in other renovation work is a strong advantage.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently and on weekends as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces.
• Prepare surface and lay wall and floor tiles with accuracy.
• Measure, cut, and shape tiles to fit around fixtures and obstacles.
• Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants, ensuring a high-quality finish.
• Apply waterproofing systems.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain existing tile surfaces.
• May lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics.
• Assist with renovation tasks such as plastering, painting, carpentry, and general repair work when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures on all sites.
