Job summary

GHD is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our team in Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington. You will design and deliver projects from concept through to detailed design, supporting industrial and renewable power clients across wind, solar, BESS and hydroelectricity.

With 5+ years of experience, you will manage multiple assignments, contribute to proposals, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across NZ and the Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ electrical engineering experience (5–8 preferred).
• Industrial electrical design experience required.
• Experience in water, energy or renewable energy projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical supply, distribution, instrumentation and automation.
• Experience with design documentation and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver projects from feasibility to post-construction phases.
• Manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Assist senior engineers with client engagement and business development.
• Contribute to projects in energy, renewable energy, water and industrial sectors.
• Prepare proposals, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and possibly support APAC delivery.
