Job summary

GHD is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington. You will design and deliver building services electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and low-voltage systems, and contribute to ICT and fire systems.

You will prepare design documentation, reports and specifications, support project planning and construction phases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across NZ and APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ electrical engineering experience, with 3–5 years preferred.
• Building services electrical design experience.
• Experience with power, lighting and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Experience with ICT systems.
• Multidisciplinary project delivery experience.
• Experience preparing design documentation, reports and specifications.
• Experience using AGI-32 and PowerCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver building services electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and low-voltage systems.
• Contribute to communications, ICT, fire systems and associated building infrastructure.
• Prepare design documentation, technical reports and specifications in line with GHD and client requirements.
• Support project planning, design development, construction-phase activities and site-based services where required.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support the preparation of proposals and bids and respond to project opportunities.
• Work across New Zealand and Australian projects, with opportunities to support wider APAC delivery.
