Job summary

Department of Internal Affairs NZ – Wellington, North Island seeks Coordinators for the Election 2026 Programme, on a fixed-term through February 2027. You will provide coordination and administrative support across recruitment and programme delivery activities, ensuring timely communications and documents.

You will coordinate meetings, manage records, and assist with planning, while working with a range of stakeholders to deliver a successful general election.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, coordination, customer service, project support or recruitment support.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Strong relationship management and service orientation.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
