Job summary

The Ministry of Education is seeking a permanent, full-time Analyst based in Albany with some Henderson area support. Start 6 January 2027. The role supports regional teams by analysing data, network trends and achievement information to inform internal and external work programmes.

You will provide information, guidance and analytical support, responding to information requests and preparing communications, working papers, reports and presentations for education sector stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Recent, relevant experience in collecting, collating and analysing data and information.
• Proven ability in using data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and to influence and guide decisions.
• Strong written communication, numerical, statistical and information technology skills.
• Exceptional time management and work prioritisation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
• Understanding and applying the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga.
• Full, current driver licence for regional travel.
