Job summary

Gallagher's eShepherd division seeks a hands-on Computer Vision Engineer to bring Vision Weigh from prototype to reliable hardware on commercial farms. You will own the vision stack, calibrate depth data, and push models into edge devices while collaborating with data, software, firmware, hardware and product specialists.

You will thrive in ambiguity, ship useful in paddocks this month, and iterate weekly with a bias toward field-tested results and practical farming outcomes in NZ.

Qualifications

• You have built computer vision into a real product, with something you wrote running somewhere beyond your own laptop.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision work, backed by specialists across data, software, firmware, hardware and product.
• Design, test, deploy, iterate on the vision pipeline and edge compute for Vision Weigh.
• Calibrate depth data and ensure the model remains accurate as deployment grows.
• Collaborate across teams to ship useful field-ready solutions in paddocks this month.
